Can I buy property from my sipp for buy to let?

i know you can buy commercial property within a sipp and have the rent paid directly into the pension (mainly appeals to small business owners who buy their premises with their sipp) but last i heard the same could not be done with residential property.

you can't use a SIPP for residential property
for commercial yes
not residential or hotels
