Maybe his Compliance Director caught up with him.......
This was my thought too. He'd already been banned from holding individual stocks; I imagine compliance people take a dim view of participation in anonymous un-monitored investment forums.
Although... another thought... cannot help but notice a fair bit about money laundering and Russian Oligarchs and so on in the news the last few weeks. Do we actually know much about what sort of people Bulldog's UHNW clients were? Maybe he's had other more pressing matters to attend to recently.
That's a fair old whack of pure speculation! Not very pleasant either. But becoming par for the course round here.
Well if anything given his liking for Kipling and Bond I was more imagining he might have seen an opportunity to do his bit "for king and country" by using his "deep agent" inside knowledge of their affairs to dob some bad guys in. Maybe he's been whisked away into some witness protection scheme from which he'll emerge with a new identity. Wild speculation... absolutely! But coming on here under a pseudonym like "Bulldog Drummond" does rather invite some larger-than-life tale telling.
