We have been here before with the Covid scam, tell the public lies through the MSM and especially the BBC. The BBC (which like the NHS) remains for too many an untouchable paragon of undeniable truth while it pumps out unquestioned lies and propaganda into the minds of the unthinking masses.

A comment by budgie on the CW article seems to say it well...

The Met Office seems to be part of a great swathe of organisations whose sole purpose is to inconvenience the rest of us whilst charging us for their privilege. NGOs, local government, civil service, charities, foundations, government, all engage in the practice. It's known as 'rent seeking' - where practitioners leverage their own income and consequence without creating any benefits or wealth to society. This is now a major political scam run by the woke and the left at the expense of the rest of us.

We are being fed a diet of lies and what Feynman would call cargo cult science designed to engender fear, suppress any questioning through intimidation, and quietly rob us of our lives, our freedoms, any small wealth we deign to have remaining, and suck ever more public money into the ‘rent seeking’ institutions persuing their self promoting vested interests.

I've found all of this to be pretty obvious for years. It is actually hilarious how blatant the scam is, although it is worth bearing in mind that a lot of those who benefit from the scam, such as the average grunt working in government quangos and so on, do believe in it. Most people, irrespective of any cognitive intelligence they may or may not possess, are simply ill equipped, as a matter of training, for the mental challenge of questioning dominant narratives. It's worth bearing in mind that 99% of us are descended from slaves, so there may be something in that as well, and there is the apparent need for religious-style beliefs that seems to run deep in people - specifically a belief in higher forces, which are typically represented by superiors here on earth.

The people who don't really believe in it, or don't appear to care very much even if they do, are the higher up people in society - the wealthy and powerful. As an example, I saw a documentary recently about Arnold Schwarzenegger, and in the last episode, where he discusses his political career and seeks to lay out his correct-think beliefs, we see the following. On the one hand, he was keen to explain how he promoted the environment during his time as governor, and we even see him discussing net zero with David Cameron, albeit in a very high level and probably choreographed fashion for the cameras. On the other hand, we see how he lives in a gigantic mega mansion in the mountains, with a gas fire the size of the average living room, and drives around in a six wheeled gas guzzler, not to mention a military tank, just for the hell of it.

He doesn't really care about CO2, and he certainly isn't afraid of the alleged problem, either for himself or others. What does that remind you of?

It is interesting to see how the ‘rent seeking’ works. Here is the Met getting large funding for a weather and climate supercomputer, and funding for their plane for monitoring atmospheric pollution was cancelled.
https://www.gov.uk/government/ne...nd-climate-supercomputer

Anyone in the Met office that wants their jobs and funding to continue is going to have to hook into whatever narrative is going to play well with the fickle and self absorbed ignorant politicians. Otherwise they will get downsized.

There is a whole plethora of people that want the comfort of being in and with the crowd. So the world loves a ‘narrative’. People of all types can shackle up to the band wagon - the mindless follow the crowd types, the I’m too busy to think types, the I want to support society and the greater good types, the obey/trust authority types, the vote seeking politicians, the opportunistic businesses, the rent seekers, the agenda driving elite that bought the farmland/mRNA/AI companies before they got their media cronies to push the relevant narrative.

Watch from 20:52 on climate change...
https://youtu.be/DGiczfkqt4E

Earlier parts of his speech cover the covid dystopia, later parts with ‘anarcho-capitalism’ which I wouldn;t agree with.

The refusal of the Met Office to accept the error of the Conningsby ‘record high’ is what tells you they are operating a scam. By denying an undenible truth which would hardly destroy their chosen narrative they reveal that they are not an organisation that has any interest in the truth. Their only goal is to serve their own interests. Hooking into the climate change narrative is great for extracting more funding for themselves - whether the narrative is true or not is irrelevent to them.

By chance I happened to be in the Conningsby area that day , and wow , it was hotter than I can ever remember . The tar was actually melting on the road ! Didn`t have a thermometer but it certainly felt around 40 degrees .
Agree about the BBC though , it seems to have been taken over by wokeness .

Yes it has been corrupt ‘rent seeking’ for many many years...

https://wattsupwiththat.com/2015...-a-patterns-of-cover-up/

It may be worth considering what the impact will be if and when anthropogenic CO2 driven climate change is eventually shown to be a distorted lie ? What will happen to the electric car market, the energy industry, and commodities like coal, or the market values of the oil companies ?

Meanwhile China laughs, builds more coal power stations, flogs solar panels to the west, steadily works to gain incfluence and control over all aspects relevant to CCP global domination and the global subjugation of individual freedom through CBDC’s, universal surveillance and digital social credit enslavement. The public says baa, ignorant and unaware as they are steadily fenced into the pen they and their children will never again be allowed to leave.

Rather than the BBC, I prefer to listen to people like this about climate change

no doubt you won't be able to listen to him for much longer though

Personally I prefer to listen to someone who don’t have a vested interest in the matter; pilmers links to the mining industry make me think he may well just be a little unbiased…. But I guess what ever reinforces your own world view is the order of the day.

My electricity bill is £15 a month.

WTF is the justification for a standing charge when you don’t use any electricity?
