A really good assessment of the current state of the EV world.

Basically, it's screwed...

Yes, well said Andrew Neil.
Oddly you don’t hear this message on the BBC.

(He might have thrown in the fossil fuel powered air conditioned buildings in Dubai. ‘They’ tell us to spend any money left after taxation on hugely expensive and not very effective heat pumps which we wouldn’t be able to run unless the sun is shining or the wind blowing (not too gently, not too strongly). Whilst they sit around gassing and posing as Christ like paragons of virtue in oil powered air conditioned luxury.)

It is fine for grandma to freeze to death, but was well worth spending multi-millions on each individual grandma to not save them from a ‘devastating’ man made virus.

Dale thanked Richard for answering his call for a conversation and "picking up the baton". Dale stated: "It's the messages that go out in terms of the man-made climate denial side of things".

"I feel you're rowing backwards. You're not seeing the light. You're not seeing what eminent scientists, much better than me, make absolutely clear."

Richard hit back, replying: "There's no such thing as settle science. We all agree the climate has changed for billions of years. It always will.

"My point is, anybody that suggests that you can stop climate change, I believe is misinformed, deeply misinformed. Of course man made CO2 has an impact. There is a serious scientific debate as to what percentage that is and what you do about it.

"Look, climate change is caused by solar variability, by sea level, oscillation by volcanic activity. The idea that man can be so arrogant, you think you can stop that, is a nonsense."

yep otherwise Britain would still be covered in ice.
It's a positive to use renewables instead of a finite resource
for those that follow us.

Climate change and King Canute keep coming to mind constantly
Humans have a such huge conceit of themselves but really should dial it down a bit-we shall all be gone in due course like the dinosaurs and the earth will still be here managing very well without us!
Reality I am afraid (ie we cannot afford all this “green stuff” without going back to living in caves) - is coming down the line faster and faster
Course I could be wrong!

Here we are specks zooming around in circles around the earth’s axis at some 500mph at this latitude. Hurtling through our solar system at 107,000 km/hr, and travelling with our sun at 70,000 km/hr relative to nearby stars. Drifting through wider space at 1.3 million mph.

There are over 100 million stars in the milky way and estimates of 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars in the universe.

If we are interested in the eternal survival of the species we should probably try to spawn ouselves onto another spinning rock somewhere anyway.

In 1884, a school teacher wrote...

This Work is Dedicated
By a Humble Native of Flatland
In the Hope that
Even as he was Initiated into the Mysteries
Of THREE Dimensions
Having been previously conversant
With ONLY TWO
So the citizens of that Celestial Region
May aspire yet higher and higher
To the Secrets of FOUR FIVE OR EVEN SIX Dimensions
Thereby contributing
To the Enlargement of THE IMAGINATION
And the possible Development
Of that most rare and excellent Gift of MODESTY
Among the Superior Races
Of SOLID HUMANITY

Certainly no shortage of vested interest lobbying against the adoption of renewable energy.

And certainly no shortage of vested interest lobbying for it either. What's your point?
