Has anyone looked at / bought the BOLD ETP? It can't be bought from HL, ii, AJB. Any opinions?
I just thought the concept of a btc/gold holding was interesting.
Thanks

They say:
The BOLD Index was created to track the performance of Bitcoin and Gold on a risk-weighted basis. The index is rebalanced monthly according to the assets’ 360-day inverse volatility. At the end of August, that meant 25% in Bitcoin and 75% in Gold. Due to the low correlation between Bitcoin and Gold, rebalancing transactions have delivered excess returns of approximately 5% per year over buy and hold since Bitcoin has become a more mature asset.

The 21Shares ByteTree BOLD ETP (BOLD) was first listed on the SIX Exchange in Zurich on Wednesday, 27th April 2022. It trades in CHF, USD, GBP and EUR. It also has additional listings in Frankfurt, Paris and Amsterdam. etc

If Bitcoin goes down, Gold goes up. And vice-versa.

Perpetual motion machine.

In that sense it will satisfy the mean reversionists, the all weather folk, and the cyclists.

It's not a bad pair. Bitcoin will spike higher but Gold will retain more value in a shakedown.

Momentum works until it doesn't.

Meantime, I would not put anyone off. But why not do it for yourself? Any resulting profit will likely be consumed in visible and invisible fees.

Because I wouldn't trust the rabid bononos and gibbons here to manage a shopping list.
