I have found one company registered in the IOM holding investments in Kazak companies, does anyone have any suggestions.

Thanks for the comment I did live and work in Kazakhstan for ten years their growth for 2010 is expected to be around 10%.

Some of these are in the LSEs international section so not all will be available through all brokers.

I did a search of Dow Jones news feed for the last two months so this list is unlikely to be exhaustive.
