Thank you for responding and it's not a stupid question. All investors should do DD on all their Investments and even when held this process should be on going..

Many Forum member do DD which last say 10 years but when I mange money I believe DD should be done regularly in order to make sure you are in the right stock at the right time and you make your money work to your benefit. Sadly much of the FM industry takes a similar view to Members which in many cases is down to inexperience.

I suspect AGT manage money in a similar way to me but not exactly the same. My method was to massage performance daily but AGT etc. are precluded from doing this due to market conditions.

It would be useful for forum members if you share your experience by listing your numerous losers and explain why your dd was wrong. If the guidance, from the company changed, of course you would have sold.

No one is 100% correct every time so you have to work on percentages. Also sometimes your timing cant be perfect .....

My portfolio is full of many losses and of course I am stripping out profits (and sometime losses) so it appears not a successful way of managing money but of course my ambition is to add value constantly and this also happens in a market which is going down. The method I use was based on mathematical facts.

It's encouraging that you are willing to learn about Investment and if anything else I can help you with please let me know. Hopefully my comments were helpful.

How many of my losses did you want to know about ...say 5 or 10. Perhaps you would like to disclose say your 5 largest losses.... (if I show you mine will you show me yours)

Home Insurance - I have been paying on my home insurance for 30 years and have never claimed. I must be down loads. They don't even pay a dividend for loyalty.

I would be interested in the mistakes you made with your DD and what everyone else could learn from it.
No need to quote actual losses just the mistakes you made and what fellow forum members could learn from your mistakes, otherwise your posts about DD don't seem to have any relevance.
Mathematical facts don't lie, only their interpretation.

AF don’t concentrate on mistakes but good returns ie if you are 50.1% right against the market you will add value.

Positions that are CLOSED.
30 gainers for a profit of £15,960.00

1 loser MNKS for £149.28, which I bought at the wrong time and if I had held I would have printed a profit.

How much was it down to my brilliance, not much, if you don't make money in a bull market, you need to re-assess you plan, u do have a plan ? As making money in the next bear market will be very, very difficult but not impossible.

DD on SUPR if you have a dividend re-investment plan.

You will have to do your own DD if you want to make a capital gain after you have looked at the discount to NAV.
