In the long run we are all dead, but nations generally survive. So, what of bully-boy Trump policies?

Beyond 5 years, I suspect they will weaken America and strengthen China.

I don't think it will weaken the USA as per se.
Not until someone else steps in.
It may take them out of the global stage and shows
Will the rest of the west allow China (or Russia or anyone else) to dictate terms.
The UK has an opportunity here to take centre stage again.
I have been saying for some time a lot of the world (beyond the west) still has some regard for the UK (esp the ME).

However in the wings there is a the likes of Israel which the US can neither control nor do without and Netanyahu has already told the US (and the world) where to go when sleepy Joe tried to lecture him that it was the US who helped create Israel.

The US may just become what China, Russia, N Korea is today - a strong country focused on its domestic and own interests.

Trump has yet to prove to the world that he is a strong-man like Xi, Putin, Kim etc. At the moment he is just another politician.
