People are in general very decent, anywhere you go in the world. It's only a tiny fraction who are sociopathic and wouldn't have qualms taking things from their fellow man (or lining them up in front of tanks, or collectivising them against each other).
Unfortunately, among that tiny percentage are politicians. And when you look at troubles in Gaza, Congo, etc. it's politics that turns man against each other – is responsible for more starvation today than it solves. I think the revolution is realising that none of us should be fighting for the interests of elites – if anything, it's our own governments we should all be opposing, until they start acting in their peoples' best interests.
