Renewable Energy ITs?

Used to own but got out a few years back, more by chance than anything else.

From a value investor's perspective looking interesting. Not read much into the space for a few years.

Thoughts on where they stand today?

The £1b+ ITs only really interest me, Greencoat or TRIG.

You pose an interesting question. I'm in the undecided camp. If you look at the broader global renewable energy sector. SSE , RWE, Clearwater Energy , Northland Power , Cadeler and Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovabl SA for example. All have suffered broad share price declines in recent years. All bid up possibly in the era of low interest rates. Do current share prices reflect fair value for the businessess? Never going to be exciting growth companies. However provide a defensive stance in a period of turbulence. Still need power whatever.

Something needs to spark the revival. A takeover bid or merger. There's too many sub scale LSE listed IT companes currently. So there's cost savings to me made. Meanwhile I'll sit on the fence just a while longer.

Best to ask that question on infrastructure investment trust section.
