I recently transferred my SIPP from iWeb to ii about a week before this announcement. Main reason for swithching was that the iWeb charges for drawdown used to annoy me, but I see that they are doing away with these under their new administrator.

The carrot of £500 cashback from ii also helped. The transfer process went smoothly and the cashback was paid as soon as the transfer completed.

Evies, Can I ask, were you in a monthly drawdown when you moved your sipp and if yes, did you have to pause your payments whilst the transfer was happening. Also, how long did the transfer take ? Thanks.

Apologies for the late reply. I use UFPLS for drawdown and not Flexi Access and so can't advise regarding what would happen with regular payments during the transfer process.Sorry.

So if I choose to stay with iweb, then after this month, I won't pay any SIPP administration fees until November 2028. And I will just be staying as I am and using the same old interface I am familiar with. This is tempting.

Any thoughts on why AJ Bell might be worth transferring to?

My son has his JSIPP with AJ and this will move to a (adult) SIPP this Summer, so I shall then be running on 3 platforms instead of 4 (and down from 5 last year).
