I was wondering if there are any multi-asset ETFs available for UK investors that are akin to VLS, MyMap, Global Strategy et al?

Reason for asking is I like the 'buy/sell now' nature of ETFs rather than with OEICs where you wait a few days to settle.

Closest I can find are these (which all seem to be domiciled in Ireland):

Yes as you mention they are domiciled in IE but are available on UK platforms

L&G's multi-index range is notable for having quite a large "alts" allocation e.g MI 4:

Alternatives 9.0%:
Legal & General Global Real Estate Div Index Fund 2.5%
Legal & General UK Property Fund 2.0%
Legal & General Global Infrastructure Index Fund 1.5%
L&G Commodity Index Fund 1.0%
Forestry Stocks 1.0%
L&G Clean Water ETF/Clean Energy ETF/Battery Value-Chain ETF 1%

Fidelity's multi-asset allocator range also has some property (REITs) exposure.

Blackrock's MyMap range were notable for having a bit of gold when they first launched. Looks like that's morphed into 3% in "iShares Bloomberg Enhanced Roll Yield Commodity Swap ETF" (e.g in MyMap4) since then though.

Not looked at any of the few multi-asset ETFs in detail.

The Blackrock range are the only ones I'm aware of.

There are LifeStrategy ETFs but I don't think they're available on UK platforms - not sure if you could get them with any of the European platforms that you can access as a UK investor?

There are no ETFs of any description domiciled in the UK. They are all domiciled in low tax countries like Ireland and Luxembourg.even the FTSE100 etc. ETFs.

I would say that if you are investing in ‘multi asset’ funds etc, then a day or two to settle is not really going to move the dial with regards to your returns especially when the buying and selling of these is usually free (usually you get the price stated at the end of that particular day).

However, the cost of trading ETF’s might.

The buying/selling of multi asset funds is hardly like trading bitcoin!

Found another one - listed on the LSE but domiciled in IE - fairly new 2024

UK ticker WGEC

https://www.wisdomtree.e...ore-ucits-etf---usd-acc

It seems to be not a normal ETF though - it's a 90/60/10 Multi asset split - it is leveraged

Explanation here https://www.wisdomtree.e...-case.pdf?sc_lang=en-gb

EDIT - sorry already covered here https://moneyforums.city...ent-global-etf-WGEC.aspx
