Donald Hunter - we must be from around the same neck of the woods - I'm 20 miles or so along the A71. A Scottish MEP recently tabled a motion on football and was interviewed live on BBC radio. He realised his mistake after the second question.

It would be fun to actually see how they get to grips with a more intelligent and savvy electorate. With the expenses fiasco and now the banks seemingly muscling to get their way what would happen if this resulted in the country going back to the polls? Who would they vote for. There's a simple solution to the banking issue which does not involve politicians.

Tell a docker, miner and artic driver that they are losing their jobs and that the likelihood of them getting a job in todays environment is going to be real difficult. In the same breath tell them that bankers are getting bonuses of a million pounds or more......

I'm with Snoekie and Smithy on this one.
Snoekie - they will be paying him, and if my own experience of being forced to listen to his self-justifying, self-glorifying b-ll---t at a (separate) industry dinner is anything to go by, he charges a fat fee.
There is not a single question I would want to waste one second putting to this dishonest, disreputable, hypocritical little monster and I hope that UK politics has now been cleansed of him and all those like him.

How about, what would be the impact on Oil E&P share prices focussed on the North Sea if Scotland were to attain independence?

Does he consider himself to be like "Rasputin" in British politics using and manipulating T Blair to his way of thinking, or was it the other way around, just a game used only as a willing scapegoat?

Question for Alastair Campell: can you comment on the thesis that Brown and Blair made a effective ruling combination, one Strategist and one presenter. One long term thinker and one short term oportunist? ( Nothing necessarily wrong in moving with events. It's what this site is all about).

Why would you want to hear what that t***** has to say.
A man who helped take us into an illegal war ? Who manufactured the "evidence" with that b****** Blair.
All those men, women and children slaughtered for, precisely what.
So that Blair, who did'nt do God, could grin at God sitting on his shoulder and think what a great guy I am. Arn't I, God.
Jesus Christ. What an f***** pair.

Thanks all for some excellent questions. Time was against us so we couldn't ask them all, but we did at least clear up the confusion about which football team he supports.
