Hi All,

I am currently working on a project involving Off Plan property's in the UK/overseas.

I would like to know people's views and experiences (positive and negative) on buying off plan.

I have bought twice in the UK. A real bind and also a counterpart risk
i looked at some overseas opportunities. The legal systems are very different as are the planning permissions (or not). My view is that the risks associated with overseas property aren't worth it.

I have a friend who has bought and part paid for property that hasn't been completed after 3 years and looks like it is being built to two OAPs and a dog - apparently Rebar in concrete floors is optional
