One of the things "support" guys do is to use the Teamview session to open RDP and then they take TV off at the end of their support process. They then have long term access to your machine. Has the advantage of allowing a time gap between the "support call" and the thefts of information/assets.
I have seen one of these go on for until we did a Windows 10 rollout when we discovered a long term intrusion on W7 machines by a fake "support" company. The guys who had done took company information, and personal stuff where the PC had been used to access personal bank/amazon details etc.
