I'm looking at setting up a SSAS for one of my Companies and am looking at ways of doing it myself, without using an IFA or similar.

I'm currently completing the TPR course for Administration of pensions (I am setting up an OPS too) but there's little or no information on how to set up your own SSAS.

I have been reading various sites from pension Administrators and a few state that one can set up a SSAS without the need for their kind of help - But it's clearly not in their interest to advise how.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Not sure I can point you in the right direction, but I would ask why you require a SSAS? The answer to that question would determine if you should DIY or not.

If you are struggling to find out how to set one up, I would question the ability to run one diligently and compliantly.

If not using an IFA is due to cost, a SASS could well not be suitable as generally quite expensive ongoing.

Finally, how so you know the SASS you may set up is the most appropriate for you?

Yes I am an IFA, but trying to be helpful so you don't get in a mess like some of my clients I have had to help after the event.
