Just received my first scam text today claiming to be from the Energy Bill Support Scheme saying I am owed £400 under the discounted energy bill.

Total scam please don't call +447548416995, they say you can apply via rebate......com

I received an email the other day from my supplier warning me about scams and how they will never ask for my bank details.
Why should they? I pay direct debit therefore they already know my details.
At the same time telling me how they are going to pay me my refund, which by the way, wasn't just putting all the money into my account.
That would be easy, they have come up with their own formula and it isn't A+B=C.

Not a scam but the energy companies will find away of making money
Ovo are going to take the full DD and a few days later credit the account with the rebate.
Firstly why do that just take a smaller DD
Secondly define a few days ( my definition 2 or 3 days, I suspect Ovo will be more like 7 to 10 working days). Des electricity only work on certain days of the week!
3rdly robbing barstewards
They should teach david copperfield (magician) how to do sleight of hand along with smoke and mirrors

First full day with solar and battery yesterday.

Part cloudy and sunshine, grid energy usage dropped 96%.

Try reducing the level of your DD on line with B Gas
You can't do it any more. They require you to ring them and there is a 2 hour queue

Fantastic

My property is surrounded by a forest, solar is as much use as a chocolate fire guard in my situation.

If you ring at what you know is going to be a busy time. Hardly surprising that there's a big queue,. Will be being inundated with meter readings. Pointless getting stressed ........

We have a multi-fuel burner; we have abundant supply of wood and the fuel we buy from Housefuel.co.uk.
We buy their Superheat smokeless; the product comes in pallet form; we buy a ton at a time because it is cheaper and that will last all winter with some left over.
