Just had a call from 'Microsoft ' and they had my name!
Indian American accent.

Anyway I asked them for the windows licence number they were calling me about and the date it was first registered, she got stumped and hung up

Just thought it might be helpful to others

My sister gets regular calls from the scammers which is odd because she isn't on the internet, she just laughs at them, tells them to get a life and hangs up, they have no chance of scamming her, yet they still persist, if only they put that persistence into getting a proper job.

By the way, I can't stand Microsoft.
They are always changing and "updating" Windows by adding extras which I don't use which is a pain in the backside.

Where is the pain?

You can just turn off updates....

Most people prefer to be kept updated with security patches, bug fixes and enhancements though 🤗

Yes it's nice to be up to date
However, with the newer versions of Windows (think mine is 2016), if the pc hasn't been on for a few days, it certainly is frustratingly slow the next time it goes on and the windows update barrage uses UP the processing power.

Windows XP didn't do that.
