Does anyone here use the above money market fund to park cash? Strikes me that I might be missing out a little by keeping cash accruing in the SIPP to draw down in March. Not a King's ransom at stake but the SIPP platform interest paid on cash is derisory and the RLAM money market fund seems as near to a low risk cash deposit as I can get inside my SIPP? Thanks.

I use this fund in my ISA, a low risk place to park a little buffer cash for me. Nice to see it just slowly ticking up each day.

My drawdown cash is in abrdn Sterling Money Market and is sold off each month to fund the pension payout.

Every little helps. It is lowest risk rating that there is.

The abrdn fund has historically outperformed the RL one by a little...

Great, just what I was hoping to hear. I have been looking at if the RLAM or similar funds have ever been closed tm withdrawals? I am able to find information on property funds that have been closed, some for long periods. But I can't find anything that says popular money market funds have ever been closed to withdrawals or not?

Would be just my luck to get to March 2024 and the chosen fund get closed due to another financial crisis. They seem alarmingly common these days.

Thanks again.

Yep that's the one. Marginally higher charges but a little higher long term performance.

Terrific, that's very helpful.

During the Covid sell-off Jan - April `20 , the Aberdeen MM fund hardly moved , so it looks pretty safe . Very different to a commercial prop. OEIC .

I use the Vanguard mmf, yielded 0.36% in May

Edited to add: ^^I’m not sure if that’s after fees or not though ?
