Wow, that's steep!

Audi A3 3.2 Quattro Sport, here - low residual value, admittedly - £160 fully comp and that includes RAC breakdown cover.

Another issue is all that camera and sensor tech requires highly qualified technicians, of which there's an insufficient number.

If your thinking EV . Then probably best to head up to one of your local car auctions, they are stuffed with them. Some auctions are now refusing to take them,as they just cant sell them second hand.

`That has always been one of my biggest concerns - with all the gizmos gadgets and circuitry there is unlikely to be a secondary market and in turn is likely to prove difficult to trade or hand back to get a new upgrade. The only market will be that of new cars. I certainly would not go anywhere near a second hand one.

As posted above the slightest accident is a write off, insurers cannot get them repaired as no one can or wants to touch them. Also, apparently they have a lot of issues in the cold and the range drops somewhat and drivers have to choose between range or heating on top of recharging problems.

Why does it need all those horses?
I thought the priority was to help save the planet, not use as much energy as possible...
And all those tyres that you'd burn through at that acceleration...

Made me laugh, weren't EV drivers feeling rather smug when we had short term fuel queues a couple of years ago.

Government doing what it does best: creating queues.
