Bought some DGE (@2292.9) this morning before I went out to bring it back up to normal holding size, so nice surprise to find today's drop has halved, instead of doubling which is more common (for me).

Also had a couple of chunks over the last week of RIO, like many others topping up between £48-£50.

I can’t press the sell button, as usual Mr. Finger, who is a much better investor than me will not let me press it. I’m sick of that digit.

He once let me press it for BBOX but he’s a hard master with the sell button.

Why am I the only one who has to bow to Mr. Finger before I can sell an investment?

Be glad it is not Mrs Heart calling the shots.
If that was the case then I am sure that the in-law, to Mrs Heart, Sir Brain (who sits on your shoulders) might get involved and then fully upset Mrs Heart and if you did bow down Mrs Heart, your head, Sir Brain may have some reservation about your judgement to manage monies.

Thus let the kid, Mr Finger be the culprit. It keeps everyone happy and at bay, after all the kid is loved my Mrs Heart, he can do no wrong in the eyes of Sir Brain AND, if he messes up you can make appropriate adjustments and still be be one piece, mind, soul and body !

Added to CHRY on a large discount but represents a small hold.

In my experience, I don't think he is...

If Mr. Finger is massively resisting then in my experience those are the trades to make.

It is when Mr. Finger is trigger-happy it is often a mistake and lack of research. I am sure some pro-investor mentioned that every good trade should fill you with dread. As long at it is well-researched as you then understand the risk and increased dread.

For example, I sold 10% shares of my shares in AXL flippant sell, and this morning with a good RNS I lost a bit of gain.

I also topped up CHRY today. Discounts starting to narrow on other holdings I might have wanted to add to, so I'm thinking this will be my last trade for a short while.

I always found it best to trade against all those that did full due diligence and bought higher and higher till 99% had bought and shares could only go one way as the 100th did due diligence and realised the SP was overvalued.. Pushing the sell finger is very uncomfortable but the more uncomfortable it was the more outperformance happened. Simply not what you buy but when. Logically you buy near the low when all the due diligence has happened.

Remember all FMs do due diligence fully yet they all tend to underperform.

Remember there is a Buy/Hold/selling price for every IT/IC and all the due diligence has been done.

Edit...... due diligence is great if a FIFO investor but bad if a LILO investor...It seems we have a few LILO investor who tell us they were in higher but did their due diligence???

Just sold a few of my TW shares taking advantage of the political rhetoric which as bolstered the share price .I hold three housebuilders in my portfolio and the star this month being Persimmon which is up 16.95%
Nearing the end of trading this month my portfolio is up 5.95%
My laggard holding being Entain which is down 8% this month , I have slowly built up my stake which is now 6.8% of my portfolio. They are speculating to accumulate, spending money to boost future growth thus they will make a loss this year. The jewel in the crown being their joint venture with BetMGM
Four dividend payments this month , the big ones being Persimmon and GSK.
August is usually a quiet month because the market is in bucket and spade mode ,although a dividend payment on Friday from Vodafone.
