I am smelling a lot of portfolio reconstruction on the fly

I have done very little

I am trading the index. Volatility is your friend. Might be a good idea to buy IG. The majority of their accounts were as expected today. Long as the index fell and short when it whipsawed back and then..... You guessed it.......

Jggi is not good when the tide goes out. Lots of PIs I think.

From what I am hearing on BBerg the portfolio strategists have Trump fatigue and are starting to get a bit angry. Some of the PE guys are very angry at the complete lack of organisation and policy being set on truth social and then reversed an hour later.

Canada use of export surcharges seems to have put the cat amongst them. You want a 25% tariff have a 25% export surcharge on top. Well played Trudeau

Dumped 12k of JGGI today, and may do the same with some BNKR tomorrow and stack it into a MMF @ 5%ish for a few months until the global chaos plays out a little more. I may keep my SAIN as it is less US focussed anyway.

Easing back on global, US centric funds will get me to about 10% in cash/MMF and then i can sit back and wait getting 2-3% real return.

Have purchased 5k of BAE in the last few days to add to 22k of RR currently at 6.5x profit.

The BAE part shows you gotta put some of the JGGI into attack mode instead selling low and defending.... try a small amount of your JGGI in 3xleveraged value focused on EU banks like 3BAL or similar?

Bought a sizeable slice (for me) of INPP.

It's a bumpy ride. As outlined in the forum, I made our dispositions for it in December, concerned about (a) "record highs" and (b) unpredictability of outcomes under Trump, when we switched some fifteen percent of the equity in ISAs into low risk short term bond and MM yielders plus cash, and shifted a little further into global ETFs.

Since when, likewise doing nothing. The old saying "when in doubt, do nowt."

Guessing the S&P might easily shed another 5-10% but that the bull in the Washington china shop will shrug that off.

What does Wave Action foretell?

Added £5k to DEC and a smidge of spare cash to INPP.

Was waiting for πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ DEC SP to fall to same level as πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ closing SP but the positive (?) announcement today buggered that up.

A day for reflection today.

Some weeks ago I sold a significant number of my Index Trackers off, in particular..

Japan 100%
Taiwan 100%
Asia Pacific 100%
Europe 100%
USA 30%

I could lterally buy all back now cheaper, effectively banking between about 1 and 4.5% per holding. Nice. But is it time yet? I think probably not. I think there is a way to go down yet as inflation starts to kick in.

So..... instead of holding the cash I've decided to commit it to further Corporate Bonds.

Im up to my holding limits on RL Global Opportunities and M&G Floating Rate so went looking for a third strand and settled on more High Yield in the form of Aegon High Yield Bond B Acc Currently yielding about 10% annualised (though I expect that to drop back somewhat)

Bought a reasonable chunk this morning and will be switching a bit more in over the coming days

Positive? I read it as desperate.

I have written to them three times - really asking why they launched a bid when they obviously had little market support for it. Also asked them why they say that it wasn't possible to create a retail offer - others have managed it. NRR did a retail book build a few months ago
