Added £5k to DEC and a smidge of spare cash to INPP.

Was waiting for 🇬🇧 DEC SP to fall to same level as 🇺🇸 closing SP but the positive (?) announcement today buggered that up.

Positive? I read it as desperate.

I have written to them three times - really asking why they launched a bid when they obviously had little market support for it. Also asked them why they say that it wasn't possible to create a retail offer - others have managed it. NRR did a retail book build a few months ago

No reply

Can't find a bargepole long enough.

Dumped 12k of JGGI today, and may do the same with some BNKR tomorrow and stack it into a MMF @ 5%ish for a few months until the global chaos plays out a little more. I may keep my SAIN as it is less US focussed anyway.

Easing back on global, US centric funds will get me to about 10% in cash/MMF and then i can sit back and wait getting 2-3% real return.

Have purchased 5k of BAE in the last few days to add to 22k of RR currently at 6.5x profit.

The BAE part shows you gotta put some of the JGGI into attack mode instead selling low and defending.... try a small amount of your JGGI in 3xleveraged value focused on EU banks like 3BAL or similar?

Sold 10.5k of BNKR now completing the defocus on the US for the time being. I took a decent profit on both BNKR (6% up) and JGGI (25% up) so feeling OK about the timing. JEGI may get a boost over the coming months from dividends too but the bulk of this will get shoved in an MMF to wait and see.

↪ Fair enough! Yes the way things are heading MMF rates could go up with no downside risk to capital deployed other than inflation.

Bought 10k Kier - it took a few days to get to the price but, my four orders have now executed.

the CEO there is great. he knows he has shareholders and, he has shaped a neat business with market leading margins and bid discipline. I will buy some more if it falls some more.

It is a baby in the bathwater

I see 800/- have traded to-day so far. What was the issue of having to deal over a few days.. did you put limits on ?

Sold a whole big chunk of MMF today.

Want cash ready to potentially take advantage of the turnaround, if or when it comes.

I'm reckoning sooner or later Trump will quietly get his knuckles wrapped and there will be something to stem the general global decline. If it happens I want to be ready with dry powder.

If it doesn't happen, I will just reverse this a little later.

Since there is no dealing fee or spread, the cost of being prepared is trivial.

Never sell or buy on Fridays. Spreads and bonkers things going into the weekend means the bonkers market is even more bonkers.

I chill and think three days will not make any difference to me, the MM will be trying to leverage some gains, can’t be arsed to give them my cash.

Sat on 20% cash. Not rushing, but looking at a few. BUT in particular, sold a few months ago at near the top and I like the way the trust operates.

I’m in a bit of a similar dilemma. Sold approx 30% of our portfolios to cash in January as we will need it at some point soon for a house project. At the time of selling I was pissed as the funds (mainly VWRP) went approx 2-3% higher the following week. It’s currently sat in MMF’s but tempted to put at least half of it back in now (I think) the short term bottom is in. The gamble is a black swan event. It’s risky but I feel another ATH is calling.
