Up 12% on a very small purchase in April.

Construction industry just about build anything.
Housing
Bridges
Earth work and foundations
Industrial construction
Machinery & Vehicles
Marine works
Parking solutions
Procurement
Railways
Road maintenance
Roads and routes
Rock tunneling and excavation
Sports construction
Water supply construction

Price to book 0.5 (today) was what attracted me.
Theoretically the buildings and equipment they own are worth twice the the total value of the shares.
Have sold everything they owned in Russia.
Down 55% since January 2021

Site is in English.

I won't get rich owning these unless I up my holdings significantly.....and they do a very very well.
Might be worth a look.

Building a property from recycled materials?
Note not read it all but first thoughts are ....not worth a 15% gain.
Not complaining mind

RNS 30th April

https://www.yitgroup.com...port-january-march-2024

Basically a recovery stock.
Lots of debt which it is starting to deal with.
Very big in apartment building. The reduction in interest rates will main reason for the continued rise in share price.
Unfavorable fixed price construction projects coming to an end or completed.

YIT is part owner of Tripla Mall the biggest shopping centre in the Nordic countries.

"Based on market data, the yield for the Tripla Mall was increased during the quarter. The increase in the yield impacted the adjusted operating profit of the segment by EUR -12 million."

I don't understand the above taken from the RNS. Why would yeild increase result in fall in profits?

"Tripla Mall Ky is a joint venture between YIT Corporation, Etera Mutual Pension Insurance Company, Onvest Oy and Fennia Mutual Insurance Company. The Mall of Tripla will be a near-zero energy building."

Steady little riser up 18% since April. Pity only a small holding.
Price to book 0.7
Book includes the apartments for sale, land banks and a share of a huge shopping centre.
Risk attached to a large shareholder who owned 20% of the shares. When they sold 1% the shares dropped 7% at the start of trading. Recovered fully but the risk remains.
