I thought participants could pass their thoughts actually on the 'Community'

I get a notification to say another comment has been added but find it difficult to find that comment without scrolling through different threads. Perhaps its me, but I find that tedious.

I mentioned it a while ago here when it was first released. I think it's a great idea but whether it will gain critical mass or will wither and die, I don't know. I suspect the latter case. II had a reasonable set of discussion forums before they closed it down ages ago. My guess is that posters there have since moved on and maybe won't return.

In theory it sounds like a good idea, but i believe that once you join other members can see your portfolio(s) but not the value(s). Even so i find that a bit concerning, maybe even a future security risk, not sure about that one but it did cross my mind. Just wondered what others thought and their experience on using the forum if they had indeed done so.

Joined but left almost immediately, not very enlightening bunch of people and some with an agenda to talk up the prospects for their investments. You get more from Citywire so why bother?

Been using it since it was first highlighted here on II sent a message, can’t remember.

It has some useful features with a caveat that I don’t know if it is accurately capturing trades across all portfolios one might have across II, for example ISA and GIA

Summary of your overall portfolio across accounts with a horizontal bar graph it separates funds into a different graph however.

Logs trades as you make them and categorises it is a top up, buy or sell with the percentage you now have. Here I think there are some mistakes, it fails to categorise some and I don’t know if the percentages are accurate. It could be because I have an ISA and 3 GIA accounts with them.

A tab where it tells you what the performance figures are over different timeframes with a line graph that has green dots for buys and red for sells…..whoopeeee. No idea how they are measuring performance or if they are accurately doing it across all accounts and representing as one. Seem to use a UK 100 benchmark beginning with a C, no idea what that is.

You can see other peoples portfolios and performance. Separate section showing who the top performers are. Just some fun if anything.

Like the fact you can create a discussion relating to an individual stock/ trust/ fund by just first searching for it ….Easier than say Citywire where you have have to create a thread. Only pain typing on mobile is not easy. …would be great is the community app made it to the desktop..

Fair comments, I think. Though I guess 99.9% of members will be posting there under a nickname. Like here, so essentially it's pretty anonymous.

I think it has room for improvement, but overall I like it. The best feature is one that is sorely missing on II...the ability to plot the growth of your overall portfolio over time. This makes it much easier to measure your returns and also visually see when trades have been placed.

I think they should significantly expand this feature to allow users to better understand their investing behaviour.

I joined and it's 'ok' but currently not so enlightening as say here. I'll keep on with it as it's easy to open tbe app. I get the feeling there's too much II data regurgitated from the newsletters.
Currently can't get excited by it. It needs 'critical mass' which I don't think it's got so far.
