Are you looking for individual stock/shares, funds or investment trusts?

Thanks for your reply, Daniel25. I have a small pot, which I need to increase dramatically over the next two years in order to get a decent income from my SIPP. So any advice/suggestion about shares/investment trusts or other is welcome. I hope that this forum is frequented by people who have more experience than myself(very little).

NWBD, AV., MGNS, NG., NFDS, RDSB, SSE, BT.A, VOD, BBY, GSK, UU. are the income stocks in my SIPP. Solid heavyweights, apart from Northern Foods, which I am happy to tuck away and reap the rewards. But you must do your own research.

You state you need to dramatically increase the capital value over 2 years. This is a very short period and by definition will entail considerable risk.Do you realise this?

But high income stocks are not likely to provide "dramatic growth" over the next couple of years. Seems to me you face something of a dilemma.

Just put 'shares for income' into Google - lots of articles come up - also (dare I say it) DigitalLook (free part of site) has some lists in dividend yield order (how do I do this on City Wire please ?!) - But as said by Darrener - do some research - its not difficult - start with 'how well do you think Vodaphone are going to be' -& 'what does UU do, and can they continue to make a profit ?' I remember as a 15 year old sitting next to my father at the dining table and he had a large cheque. When I enquired about it, he said - 'Someone pays me for looking after my money for a while' - it got me saving & investing 45 years ago !

On the other hand if you want to dramatically increase your SIPP, some AIM stocks are far far better - BUT its a risk/gamble - its your choice unless you pay for mostly lousy expensive managers !
