Hello everyone.

Citywire portfolio has been incredibly useful to me and in many ways has been the tool that got me engaged with your site. My clutch of IT shares are reviewed in your portfolio screen most days and I always read your news stories and the IT section especially when visiting.

Over the last week or two the portfolio page has been much less reliable e.g. tonight at 6pm some share prices are entered inaccurately others are missing altogether so the total value of the individual holdings may wrong and the portfolio total value wildly wrong.

I really hope that you are going to be able to restore this page to its previous reliable and usable format.

Can anyone shed any light on this and if the news is bad please can someone suggest a site with a similar tool (but would much rather hear that your page will be restored).

Thanks.

Hi John,

Thanks for posting to let us know. I've passed your question on to our support teams, who should look into it and let me know what's going on. Hopefully we'll be able to fix it quickly - I'll get you an update as soon as we know more.

A similar problem exists with the portfolio I have with www.iii.co.uk. Their response was that it had something to do with transactions taking place immediately after the exchange had closed. They have not been able/or are unwilling to fix the problem.

Sorry it's taken a few days to track down the problem. Our tech people have told me that we had some problems with the data feed that pulls in the information for the portfolios - and that it should be fixed now. Can you let me know if you're still seeing any issues or unreliability?

Aw, thanks. As I said, just let us know if it starts acting up again and we'll do what we can to sort it out.

Me again.....

Looking at he portfolio now at 5.15 pm some prices have been removed from the price column eg SVM UK Emerging has a blank in that space. This means not only is its price now not known - although it only changes once in a blue moon- but the total value of the portfolio is incorrect.

I think this is linked to the new Millennium system the London Stock Exchange switched to recently. It's causing problems for data providers. It's a general problem, not just citywire, as someone above noted.
