For me, the "latest posts" list could be longer.

Yes I would like to see this list at least double maybe even treble.

Many websites will allow you to receive email alerts when other users leave comments on articles and forum discussions that you're following. We thought it was such a good idea we stole it.

Here's how it works: when you start a new forum post, comment on an existing one, or comment on a Citywire article, you'll be presented with an option to receive email alerts which is ticked by default. After that, you're 'subscribed' to the discussion.

You can also subscribe without commenting by clicking the 'Email me when someone replies to this discussion' link.

If you don't want to subscribe, simply uncheck the box before posting a comment. If, having subscribed, you change your mind, there is an unsubscribe link in every email we send out.

You can manage your subscriptions via the Watchlist, which is your personalised news service. As well as comment alerts, you can add shares, funds, investment trusts and fund managers, and receive email alerts whenever Citywire publishes an article featuring them. (Handily, it synchronises with the Portfolio service.) You can access the Watchlist at http://www.citywire.co.u...re/email-settings.aspx.

We hope you find the service useful, and naturally we'd be interested in your feedback. As ever if you have any technical problems or queries, drop an email to our customer service team at support@citywire.co.uk. If you're unable to receive the alerts you may need to add noreply@alerts.citywire.co.uk to your safe senders list.

Just so that you know, this unchecking of the box is not working. I have twice unchecked for the article "David Stevenson: Two ETF portfolios for the adventurous" but still receive the latest post. I have also emailed support.

Citywire have never replied to my emails. Trustnet do, and very promptly and helpful.

Judge a service by what happens, rather than just what is promised. I have yet to see any change. But I am prepared to wait.

So true. And I was thinking earlier that the most difficult task for any investor come trader is to just sit tight and remain patient.

And avoid portfolio tinkerings.
