Got an odd text yesterday, smelt a rat as I'm a step dad, not a Mum, but it was actually quite close to being convincing, going on about how he'd broken his phone (that's our boy lol) and needed money to repay a friend who'd lent him cash.

A FB friiend just posted a similar tale, except as she really is a mum, she reacted as a mum would, and ended up in a long winded text exchange, for which I suspect she's going to get a premium rate bill at some stage.

Googled, seems a thing in Australia particularly, but .......
