Ok, so I don't usually do individual stocks but last year bought into a few of them... I'm probably at about break-even on EZJ and can't help but feel nervous that the +53% rise since beginning of the year won't hold. Take the cash and run, or is the EZJ share price going to continue its climb?

As with RR I bought EZY as a recovery/value play last year. Watched it plummet and now recover back to where I started.

They absolutely screwed up last year with staffing and cancellations.

Finally now they seem to have got their act together and running at 97% capacity and increased fares by 25% so it should (cough!) improve further from here IMHO.

They are carrying large debt now so I don't expect a return to pre COVID levels any time soon.

As with RR I have a target price, in this case about 800p and I will be happy enough to sell then.

I'm holding.

Thanks Andrew, you make some valid points. 800p would be very welcomed, but what concerns me is the share dilution. Has it been diluted too far to achieve another +60%? I probably have no idea what I'm talking about but I think the share dilution needs considering

Ryanair results today.. I don’t know how to read a trading statement but let’s see if the market likes it. Does anyone know or have a link to the ticker please? Thanks

Yes it does need considering.

But although SP may not reach pre COVID, it seems entirely possible that market cap might. So one can look at the ratio of current cap to cap in, say December 2019 as a finger in the air indicator...

One can factor in debt at each point too.

Ticker is ORYA

Link to a brief run through of the statement today -

Not advice, but just something I tend to do, don't leap in on the first reaction, give it at least 15 mins, I often find the first move isn't the real move, people skim read and pile in or out, then calmer heads who've read it properly arrive (or don't as the case may be).

But at a glance, sounds OK , and the demise of a rival generally doesn't hurt either

Very good point re letting the SP settle - I made the mistake selling TUI at 135p just after Xmas. Doh

What to do about EasyJet, down 6% today after announcing the CEO would be leaving.

The business has recovered well from Covid and the planes are full yet the share price is still down 60% on pre-pandemic levels. RyanAir meanwhile has soared away

It's probably been my biggest investment mistake and I should have sold long ago. Four years on I still can't do it because the losses are too painful.

I have a little. It's been in the red most of the time.

But the reasons I bought it are still valid and I believe it will eventually break out. I guess significant debt is holding it back.

Almost thinking of adding.... but breaks my 'no single shares' mantra.

Planes are full, it appears well organised and run. Way better than Fly'n'scare...
