Truly never a dull moment here !!
Predictably the dividend has been reduced (kind of) in line with the SP but is now sustainable for three whole years. I assume the market will have a squitsy bum explosion this morning as uk share prices don’t seem to do “relief as that seems like a sensible capital allocation model” !!
Really interesting is the new acquisition announced today which they say will alleviate the wind down of current wells?
Behind this are some big revenue and profit numbers resulting from the hedging. This has been a massive drag on reported numbers, but with record production in a low gas price environment, quite the opposite is true this year.
Finally the new capital allocation model (aka lower dividend!) allows for big strides towards debt reduction (as well as accretive acquisitions like the one announced today).
I’ve probably missed lots out, but it’s still early ☕️ and I’m not an accountant.
