It's a shame for our country and democracy that we have imported foreign sectarianism and that it is dominating our political life.

I rarely watch it but I saw question time this week on bbc based on Croydon with three liberal left panellists and a token Tim Stanley from the telegraph (half of telegraph columnists are v thick but Tom Stanley is one the cleverest of any paper). The audience and that panel was a foretaste of what is to come in the future, sadly.

If serious about investment planning, rather than just wanting to vent peevish grumblings or to scaremonger, why not look at what's available on the subject of Labour's economic and related intentions? And, if you place any credibility in the Daily Telegraph, which does not support Labour, read their recent (9 Feb 2024) article on the subject, couched in unemotional terms...

https://www.telegraph.co...eneral-election-voters/

Some clear pointers for investment or disinvestment in various sectors. Some pledges to do things (non doms, holiday homes) that the Tories are already doing.

No suggestion of altering tax arrangements or annual allowances for ISAs. Would bring back the Tories' lifetime cap on pension savings. No changes in corporation tax for the life of parliament.
