Graphcore failed flat and is now taken over by Sofbank (I think Sofbank must be some rouge high risk...)

Anyway, back to the point.... I have not given up hope of another UK chip story and the more I read about Alphawave Semi (AWE) and their growing revenue the more I like this story especially with money coming in from both China and America. It is AI focused but away from AI chips and to into silicon expertise such as thei IP into "Chiplets".

UK funds and trusts like HRI are not invested... yet?

Anyone?... Tim D one for you?

Opened a small position

Nvidia on a runaway again today.
A punt on 3NVD a while ago (fun portfolio holding) is now well and truly bigger than many main holdings.
As is the direct holding in Nvidia which is showing 359% total return since opening.
Truly feeling like Bitcoin now.

Thats a real punt. I am not in yet. The cheapest in the US is Broadcom with flat everything a relatively low P/E of 50 or so. But the the advance in AWE is the growing revenue despite declining earnings. You have to be prepared to lose 100% of what is invested here.

Thats the good bit.
The bad bit is that
3AAP is still down by 31% and 3AMZ down by 62% (I am unlucky)
3FB and 3MSF made me 2x and I bailed (I was good - got out the former, not so much as latter going up)
3NVD is now 4x (I am a bloody genius)
Wait... my overall portfolio is down by 2% from all time high (reason why my play portfolio is only 15-22%).
I still have faith in the likes of LTI, SMT, HVPE in main portfolio - after all 3i did its thing and HGT is doing it.

I am also out of pocket by about £5k - tried to get a 16 year old interested into investing on the promise that any gains they made I would invest that amount for them and opened an eToro account to practice. Even gave some pointers which to invest. 16 year old not really interested.

However 12 year old took over account and stuck about £5k in gaming stocks (ie copied "in the Game" which invests in a host of gaming industry stocks - he is now 68% up thanks to the likes of Nvidia, Netflix, AMD, WDC, APP etc). Now 16 year old interested and wants £2k of the gain.
