Stock on the move again.
If indeed the TSLA charging model becomes the standard (Blink seems positive), then the licensing and usage fee should provide a regular income stream and the company adds another bow to their arsenal of Cars and Batteries.
Its up around 8% at the moment today, still no where near its all time high but has being doing very well over the last few months.
I have to admit I assumed that once the legacy auto makers (Ford, GM VW etc) finally swung into gear with regard to EV manufacture Tesla would be swept away but this does not seem to be the case. It would appear that making electric cars profitably is a lot more difficult than some of these older manufacturers thought, almost all if not all of them are loosing money on every EV they make. Tesla and I think BYD over in China seem to be the only companies that can make any money doing it.
What are peoples thoughts?
Positive !
The state of Kentucky has just mandated Tesla's charging plug for state-backed charging stations !
The French want Tesla to invest in their country and offering subsidies !
Tesla offering access to finance to buyers (especially in China) !
Tesla lowering prices puts a strain on competition and takes advantage of first to market move !
I have been of the view that the vast network they have is their biggest advantage and this seems to (hopefully) coming to fruition - others will just end up paying Tesla a fee to access their stations rather than forking out millions to build their own.
Would I buy a Tesla - NO !
Would I buy an EV - Not yet !
But I would buy and hold Tesla stock - Added more since my post 20 days ago.
