I've seen it on a few 'what to buy for 2022' recommendation lists...

It's not had a good few weeks, despite the recommendations and the inflation hedge position.

Partly due to umg.as drop? Although I think the discount is widening. I also think this wider market slide is good for the prospects of his spac.

I am holding, will add if significant dips.

I seem to recall Mr Ackman taking a big put position about 9 months ago just before the markets rallied. He appears to have missed more recent events or if not he is keeping quiet. PSH always seemed to me the equivalent of A Day at the Races, with Mr Ackman taking a lot of your winnings but not sharing your losses.

He has a huge chunk of his personal wealth in PSH, so he's not abstracted from its performance. I think the position you're referring to was an inflation hedge swaption that has made a lot of money and offset losses due to the PSTH debacle.

Yup - I have reduced a little today _ its not doing what I expected it to and so I have reduced... this is a very nervous overall market and so larger moves are to be expected...

Pershing Square PSH Global Hedge Fund 3.8%

I have reduced a number of line items and so today was more about overall risk management - this has a wide discount - it does not have a deep bid or deep underlying support so on nervous days I expect small trades have an outsized effect on share price... ultimately we are buying the NAV and with the most recent NAV showing underlying weakness PSH is vulnerable more discount / share price movements...
