The Investor Call provided Business Updates on all the holdings but no new news on PSTH (the SPAC).

- PSTH is still working on the deal for an acquisition (TBC) and hopefully this will be anounced in weeks (sugested 2 weeks), but if that does not complete then they will move on to a next target....

i.e. No new exciting news.....
I'm, HOLDING...

Thank you I am a holder.... My SPAC look alike is SIGC (100% CASH) standing on 25% discount rather than a Premium which most SPACs stand on. . . At this level they look like a win-win.

Not quite as exciting as Bloomberg, but the UMG deal is all over the news feeds at the mo. Unfortunately PTSH dropped in aftermarket trading on the news.

Does anyone understand the detail of this deal. Seems like its not a merger but just a purchase of shares in UMG which will be listed through normal procedure on Euronext. The warrants which PSH were eligible for are not available for this deal. A second company with balance of capital left after UMG purchase will still look for a target but it won’t be a SPAC. A third company called a SPARC will give PSTH holders the right to buy shares in another future acquisition at NAV price. Head scratching for sure.

I just buy PSH as others are willing to sell me stock at a nice discount... I don’t go into detail as I can’t add any value....keeping it simple seems to pay. The risk reward is with us...

It seems complicated - but assuming Ackman knows what he is doing it should be a positive risk/reward scenario for PSH... and as BB kind of says you have a hell of a discount to provide some comfort.

Robin, thanks for the link, I've been wondering where I could get some kind of decent explanation of pros and cons of this deal.

I find it reassuring that Ackman was sitting on a giant pile of cash for so long, and resisted the temptation to splurge it too early on a low quality company.

He does seem to have a reasonable record of timing his bets, and I think I still back his judgement for the long term.
