Nor did they even blink in the recent "banking crisis"...

Thanks. It definitely looks an option. I'll think about it over the weekend. I don't generally like doing so but it might be belt and braces to use two funds.

Every little helps. It is lowest risk rating that there is.

The abrdn fund has historically outperformed the RL one by a little...

This one?

abrdn Sterling Money Market Fund A Acc

Yep that's the one. Marginally higher charges but a little higher long term performance.

Members might be interested to know that I found this morning, there's A and I accumulation units. A has a 0.25% fee but the I accumulation units have a lower, 0.15% fee. Both are available at Interactive Investor. I might buy some tomorrow morning.

0.12% on the Vanguard MMF if you hadn't checked it.

Benchmarked against SONIA.

Thanks, I'll take a look at it. Another option isn't a bad thing to have.

Edited to add, I looked and the Vanguard money market fund doesn't have accumulation units. That might not bother some people but rules it out in my case. I don't want a monthly income from the fund.

HL sipp drawdown pays 3-3.7% for cash. Isa etc somewhat less, but worth it if you are with them

They do an ACC version but oddly enough it isn't available on Vanguards own platform.

On Fidelity both are the same 0.15% fees

Here is the link to HL's tiered interest rates on all financial products:

https://www.hl.co.uk/charges-and-interest-rates

There are several other money market funds if you want to spread your risk:

Fidelity Cash available as both income and accumulation units 0.15% fee.
BlackRock Cash also available as both income and accumulation units but with an expensive 0.24% fee.
