Why don't Uber report revenues as gross bookings, as opposed to the fees they get after the driver takes his cut? Is it to make gross margin look better?

PSH - up 7% in a week
Uber - up 16% in a week
3x Uber - Up 40% in a week

Ackman must be looking at Uber and having a long think about it as I am confident that on the call someone will no doubt ask after 18% return in a month (he started buying in January) does he plan to reduce his exposure.

Nike - minus 6% in a week. (flat over a month) minus % over 3 months

Maybe, I hope he bought Uber on the premise it offers long term value over years! Just waiting for the live stream to start, at least they got some upbeat vibe music while we wait!

Once the long term growth is factored in don’t you think he will sell as clearly a term investment and overvalued plus of course loads of other undervalued stocks available..

Can you explain how a stock is an attractive buy yet you don’t know how this stock will be valued in say 5 or 10 years never mind next week.

Over the decades we have seen many so called excellent long term investment flounder.

Was it wise to HOLD the excellent “long term” stocks SMT at high of £15.00 or EWI at 370p. Strangely
many of these long term investors where not so keen to buy at 6.29p and 125p.

Remember not all that long ago many Members were saying you only need 3/5 stocks including EWI and SMT. It’s ok as they may get their money back in say 20 years.

I suggest you watch the presentation, its live now, it will give you some insight in the type of DD they do.... You can also see first hand what their investment case for Uber is.... Quickly it will be on soon!

Sorry to interrupt you but thanks I have seen and had many presentations over the years hence my comments above.

Clearly he has to provide an excellent story as he is being paid and this must make sense and excite investors. As he has done his DD at what price will he sell or didn’t he tell you. Sounds like the marketing team will be happy by your response.

For the record I built up many skills and knowledge and so much of my DD was second nature and ALL based on factors not fiction. I never told investors a stock was an attractive short/medium or long term investment as clearly no one has that ability. All I could say is this stock is under or overvalued to-day.

I found it best to be truthful about what you were doing and no crystal balls..

I would like to see/hear his analysis and overview of Uber.
Ackman does have some good (and some bad - ehm Netflix) sound research behind his decisions.
Sadly there was no place left for the call for me

Edit - sorry his research on Netflix was sound. However I think he just panicked and sold out early.

Are you a holder of PSH, if so, why?
