Fwiw, I took the advice to block his drivel and it is unexpectedly enjoyable to view the blank posts instead.

Akin to watching the idiot blundering into the room, shouting his mouth off but hearing not a single word of it. Everyone else can just turn their backs and continue the stimulating and interesting conversations we come for.

Occasional nuggets amongst the ordure, but the endless copy and paste is unrelenting.
Some may be of interest, but I disregard as I do not consider the likes of the Motley Fool to be financial journalism.

I've had him blocked for a few days / week or so... and whilst I am sure I am missing the occasional useful data point overall I feel much more relaxed and the site is SOOO much better for avoiding his narcissism - and I actually look at the blank messages as a benefit to me!

Bumped into Tug the other day on a visit to the South Hams, he was having a pint at the KIngsbridge with Barry the postie

Tug was clearly on a downer about the forum. "That bloke knows nothing about Warren fookin Buffett" he proclaimed.

Wanting to keep our chance encounter convivial, I changed the subject to the upcoming game

"Chiefs have got no chance" said Tug wryly

Barry chuckled in agreement and for once I didn't rise to the bait.

Wholeheartedly agree. A week into having blocked AF, my enthusiasm for the site has improved.

It also highlights how much of a solo trip AF is on
