It's quite amusing to see a Bitcoiner mocking such a prediction when so much crypto shilling also involves taking a recent bitcoin growth rate and extrapolating to project a $100,000 , $1,000,000 or whatever per bitcoin valuation will shortly be achieved.

If that's what you think, you clearly haven't been paying attention.

It's not based [naively] on recent growth, which almost no-one utilises in their forecasts.. It's based on far more sophisticated models, such as:-

Metcalfe's Law
Stock-2-Flow
Power Law
Gartner Hype Cycles
Total Addressable Market
On-Chain Analytics
...&tc.

And no-one claims that any one model is correct.

"All models are wrong, but some are useful." - George Box (statistician, 1919-2013)

But they all agree, now with 15 years of historical data, that : "the only way is UP, baby !"

What bitcoin also needs is an endorsement from a major player/s.

After all as Marco Polo a very long time ago marveled at 'how the great Khan causeth the bark of trees, made into something like paper; to pass for money overall is country; ........."with such solemnity and authority as if they were pure gold or silver'.

The Europeans were dumbfounded not to mention skeptical by this at first . Nevertheless history shows us that the great Khan was ahead of his time and the result was the emergence of a Fiat Currency (which we know and believe today as the primary vehicle of exchange) backed by government edict rather than hard assets.

In the same way Debt is an instrument borne out of an edict and used by the leaders to signify, growth, development, control and manipulate the general public. These leaders are not interested on doing anything with this debt but to manage the public with it.

Issue is Bitcoin cannot be managed and is actually owned and traded by those who current leaders cannot allow for it makes the current issuers of debt and its subsequent power defunct. Just look at the GDP to Debt ratio of advanced economies who have shown strong growth in recent times.

Which will have nothing to do with Fidelity planning to launch a bitcoin etf if the SEC gives the green light.

Even if they are exaggerating by 1000x, it's still the best investment anyone will ever see.

Do the math...

Here's another prediction (Back is suspected of being Satoshi, although he denies it)
