Good point.

SAAB then? Either held direct, or as a major holding within a long time personal favourite, the Wallenberg's INVE A/B.

Defence companies were a bit 50/50ish. If the Ukraine war ended then neither Europe nor the USA would be going on a defence spending splurge.

But with enets of the last few days it looks like Europe will have to up spending no matter what the otcome of the peace/surrender talks are.

So having a look at VanEck Defence ETF. Not sure Palantir is really where it should be and I have to look closer at the top ten as frankly Ive never heard of some of them...

I have a taken a position in Archer Aviation - alongside my Palantir position.

Reason - Archer given contract to manufacture manless aviation tech (drones) and Palantir to run them - so USA joining in on the party.

I also have a slugs in Inve-A and RR.

Munich security conference head cries in response to Vance's speech...

https://order-order.com/2025/02/...-by-vance-truth-bullets/

Check out the clip and observe European politics being reduced to the kind of stunt one would expect from a ridiculous actor at the Oscars. Reminds me of the time that Tory nomark cried at COP26. Are these people for real?

I laughed out loud at the moment his behaviour led to applause from the audience. The man is either emotionally unstable or acting in the most shameful and manipulative way. Whichever it is, he is totally unfit to lead anything to do with security. Perhaps he ought to find a more suitable line of work, like flower arranging or aromatherapy?

The European "elites" reduced to sobbing when the nasty man delivers some home truths. It speaks volumes about the state Europe is in really that such an emotional display could be considered appropriate. Of a piece with the suicidal altruism we see all around us. People whose feelings too often get in the way of their thinking, or, they are incentivised to signal this at any rate.

Exposing the clowns who govern Europe... a great speech that keeps on giving.

..and AA jumps 24% (thus far in a week) and Palantir not far behind.
Time to take some gains off the table
