Thinking of adding some PSH after this fall which looks a tad overdone ,I think UMG will do well with the passage of time .
Transferred a sizable smaller pension to my AJ Bell SIPP mostly to simplify things on my demise ,anyone think that PSH will not recover from this fall?

Have held PSH for quite a while now and use this setbacks as opportunities to add.

On UMG website they say

https://assets.ctfassets..._2024_press_release.pdf

Q2 2024

Revenue of €2,932 million increased 8.7% year-over-year, or 9.6% in constant currency, driven by growth across all segments.

Recorded Music subscription revenue grew 6.5% year-over-year, or 6.9% in constant currency and streaming revenue decreased 4.2% year-over-year, or 3.9% in constant currency, while physical revenue grew 9.5% year-over-year, or 14.4% in constant currency and license and other revenue grew 18.0% yearover-year on both a reported and constant currency basis

H1 2024

Revenue of €5,526 million increased 7.3% year-over-year, or 8.8% in constant currency, driven by growth across all segments

Recorded Music subscription revenue grew 8.5% year-over-year, or 9.6% in constant currency and streaming revenue grew 1.8% year-over-year, or 2.5% in constant currency, while physical revenue declined 4.2% year-over-year, but grew 0.3% in constant currency and license and other revenue grew 9.3% yearover-year, or 10.2% in constant currency

Streaming revenue declined year over year in Q2 2024 but increased slightly in H1 2024 year of year .

Make of it as you wish but i think these short term numbers miss out on the bigger picture hence why i added in this current setback.

Hi William, just to clarify your statement, PSH has listed holdings (mostly large cap North American), its not Private Equity.

Added to a few trusts this week

ISA: INOV (so far under water I'm trying to mitigate the losses and pigs might fly). SEQI (15% disc) and SUPR (18% disc)
SIPP: JLEN (20% discount)

Would like to add some more NRR except it moved up this week so will wait to see whats happening. Still my largest REIT holding.

Seeing JPY moving…. RICA been talking about a Yen trade for a while - anyone got a view / explanation? I’ve added a more RICA - cash from reducing HGT / AGT / small profit take LQQS.

JPY was a tad oversold :)
I bought JFJ only an 8% discount but Japanese rates are on the rise, US rates are going down and japan has some inflation at last.

Nice uplifts today

Added to HVPE and NBPE (sub £16.50 trigger) yesterday with a view to doing again today if further falls (NBPE only given HVPE was up yesterday) .Cheeky bite at ICGT given sub £13.
Good opportunity to load up on MGNS, Dipoma,
Also loaded bit more on TSLA, Google, Costco in the evening

But seeing the upturn decided to look across and add to OCI and PIN, HICL
Topped a lot of PSH yesterday (overdone IMO) - was tempted again today but left alone.
Also topped up a recent addition to portfolio BMY - Bloomsbury Publishing

Monies from selling a few CSH2
